Last updated July 31, 2026. Spotmarket.net ("we," "us") operates a B2B marketplace for enterprise electronics components. This page explains what personal data we collect from registrants and site visitors, why, and what rights you have over it - including under the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) if you're located there.

What we collect

• Account details - name, email, company name, headquarters and ship-to country, and a password (stored as a one-way hash - we never see or store it in plain text).
• Marketing interest tags - the product categories you optionally check on the registration form, used only to decide which auction emails to send you. We record the date you made this choice as proof of consent.
• Transaction data - buy and sell requests you submit (part numbers, quantities, specs, pricing) and, where applicable, order and payment method details.
• Technical data- your IP address, used only transiently for bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile) and to rate-limit signup abuse. A single session cookie keeps you logged in; we don't use tracking or analytics cookies.

Why we process it

• To create and screen your account before you can trade on the platform.
• To match your buy requests against sell listings and our own stock.
• To send account, order, and match-related emails you need as a member.
• To send auction emails about categories you opted in to - only if you checked a box for them, never by default.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run the site, each acting as a data processor on our behalf: Resend to deliver emails, Railway to host the application, and Cloudflarefor bot protection on our signup form. We don't sell your data or share it with anyone else for their own marketing purposes.

How long we keep it

We keep account and transaction data for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we will, subject to any records we're legally required to retain.

Your rights

• Access or correct the data we hold about you.
• Ask us to delete your account and associated data.
• Withdraw consent to marketing emails at any time - every auction email includes an unsubscribe link, or you can ask us directly.
• Object to or ask us to restrict certain processing.
